Giving back to the community
We wouldn’t be where we are today if not for the support of our community—you mean the world to us. Through both philanthropy and community support, we strive to do our part in giving back.
AND WHY IT MATTERS TO THE BL PHYSIO FAMILY
Not everyone has had the same opportunities that we’ve had. Or that your kids will have. We need to fix that. Giving back is a small way we can contribute to change.
Why fitness is
Fitness is such a huge thing for supporting mental health as well as building confidence and brighter futures for our kids and our communities for generations to come.
We have been privileged to be a collection point of Shoes for Planet Earth. Our amazing BL Physio community has donated over 2049 pairs of shoes since 2015 and we are so grateful for all of them! Helping the underprivileged stay fit and have fun both locally, throughout Australia and overseas is a credit to you out there. Check out the video below of how we send them off. (Apologies for the technical difficulties J)
Helping Victims of Domestic Violence
“Exhilarating” is a word we used to describe our experience with the Running CEO’s crew. Getting together teams from all parts of the community to walk, jog or sprint anywhere from 1k to half marathon. Raising money to support victims of domestic violence. Together in 2017 we raised over $136K! Enough to make a difference in so many lives. The 2018 program launched in February and we were there. If you want to be involved with us, let us know and we’ll hook you up with the fun crowd! Check them out.
Supporting Those Who Help Others
We have been honoured to support Jacqui Bell, another superstar in our community. She is attempting to become the youngest woman to complete the 4 Desert Challenge to raise money for White Cloud. White Cloud offers support to people suffering anxiety and depression. The 4 Desert Challenge is inspiring and BRUTAL! Over 250k’s each, kicking off with the Sahara in April then the Atacama Crossing in Chile, the Gobi Desert in Mongolia and finally ‘The Last Desert’…Antarctica! People doing such inspiring stuff for the good of others need to be helped and we are honoured to be involved. Good luck Jacquie! To donate to her page click here.
As we said before, giving back means the world. If it means the world to you too, we’d love to chat and learn more about your organization, charity, or not for profit.
We’re always looking to help and eager to learn about how you want to make a positive impact on the world. Let’s team up to do some good!
