To get the most out of your runs (and for life), you want to make your body as efficient as possible. In the clinic, we see runners (and even walkers) that don’t activate their core and they ‘sink’. We call it ‘flat tyre’ running. It’s land…SINK (through hip and knees)…then PUSH. It slows you up, costs energy and leads to overuse injuries.
One of our goals is to get abs working BEFORE you run as well as engaging them so they are ‘at your fingertips’ so to speak, to switch on immediately.
In this video, Angela takes you through a quick ab and gluteal warm-up then targeting hip flexor and thoracic range so you are ready to go. Thanks to physio Drew for putting the free download sheet together for you as well!!
